Meridian, ID
Meridian is a city in Ada County, Idaho that has a population of over 100,000 people, making it one of the largest cities in Idaho like Boise and Nampa. Meridian is among the fastest growing cities in the United States. The town was established in 1891 and was a productive farming community. Irrigation became popular in Meridian starting in the 1890s because moisture needed to be provided to the surrounding crops. Many first settlers of Meridian were previously Missouri residents who migrated to the area.
The Clint Eastwood film Bronco Billy, which was released in 1980, was partially filmed in Meridian. Meridian’s Park and Recreation department manages seventeen public parks throughout the city. The majority of Meridian lies north of I-84, and most residents use their cars to get around.
